Harry Potter’s Childhood
“The
Boy Who Lived.” Eleven years ago, Harry Potter was a normal baby
living with his magic parents, Lily and James. They were a very
happy family with lots of wealth and love for each other.
Unfortunately this happiness could not remain there forever.
During the night 11 years ago, an evil
wizard named Voldemort also known as “He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named,”
came into Harry’s house. Harry’s parents were killed by Voldemort,
but not without a fight. First Voldemort, killed Harry’s father
James. Harry’s mother was next. She was guarding Harry from the
evil wizard. She was so full of love for Harry that she stood in
for his life. Voldemort then killed her and only Harry remained.
Voldemort approached Harry. A flash of green light and burning pain
in his forehead.
Harry was not dead. Voldemort might be. People all over
the wizarding community thought Voldemort was dead. He wasn’t
around anyone killing anyone. When Dumbledore heard the news, he
sent Rubies Hagrid to the Potter house to get Harry. Harry was the
“Boy Who Lived.” Hagrid rushed Harry to Number Four Privit Drive.
There Harry was left with a really mean non-magic family called the
Dursleys. There he spent the next 11 years of his life, in the
closet under the stairs, serving the Dursley, giving them everything
they needed. Finally 11 years passed when Hagrid came to get Harry.
Hagrid took Harry to London to buy his school supplies.
Unfortunately Harry had to go back to the Dursley’s for the rest of
the summer. He would also have to return every summer away from
Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Now
Harry has to go to Hogwarts. There he will find new friends, and
much more adventure than he could ever have at home with the
Dursleys. Harry will have to take on many of the responsibilities
of an adult. Harry Potter will remain a legend that will never be
forgotten.
